 Chuck
Bednarik, the last of the 60-minute men. Elected into the Pro
Football Hall of Fame in 1967. Played every minute at both center
and linebacker for the 1960 NFL Champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Certainly, when the Maxwell Football Club decided to have an award for
the College Defensive Player of the Year, the first name to come to mind
was Charles Philip (Chuck) Bednaric
(R-L) Tony Dungy, Head Coach for the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers, excepts the Earle "Greasy" Neale Award from Ron
Jaworsk, Maxwell Club President, for the 1997 Professional Coach of the
Year.
